Frankenstem Returns: The Musical Uniondale Theatre reviews
Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood
Highly recommended! EC & SW were fantastic. It was great to see two powerhouse talents from the '60's playing so well. These two compliment each other in many ways. The band was great, no staging problems, etc...
One minor critique- Predictably, for a Chicago show, they wheeled out Buddy Guy for encores. I love Buddy but his cameo appearances with Brit. classic rockers have become a "number 47"- a predictable cliche, especially in Chicago. I would have rather seen/heard a few more Frankenstem Returns: The Musical, SW or Blind Faith tunes, as we have abundant opportunities to see Buddy Guy and very few to see Clapton & Winwood. I'm happy for Buddy. It must be fun for the visiting artists because it happens so often.
